Eyelash Extension BEGINNER Course Syllabus

Course Overview

This beginner certification program consists of 45 total training hours, completed on agreed schedule, estimating to average 5-hour class sessions (may vary based on student schedule), until all required hours have been fulfilled.

The program includes:

15 hours of in-person theory instruction and demonstrations.

30 hours of supervised hands-on practical training.

Theory modules will be covered throughout the course based on the amount of instructional time remaining each class day.

Attendance & Hour Requirements

Students are required to complete the full 45 hours before becoming eligible to take the certification examination.

Attendance will be tracked by daily clock-in and clock-out times.

Students must clock in 10 minutes prior to the scheduled class start time.

Students must clock out no more than 10 minutes after the scheduled class end time.

Hours will be calculated based on each student’s recorded clock-in and clock-out times.

Certification Examination

Students are not eligible to take the certification examination until all 45 required training hours have been successfully completed.

Practical Examination

The practical examination will be performed on a live model with an instructor present.

Students must demonstrate the ability to:

Create an appropriate lash map or blueprint prior to application.

Properly isolate one natural eyelash and apply one extension to one natural lash.

Apply adhesive and extensions without making contact with the client’s skin.

Apply an appropriate number of eyelash extensions to complete the service.

Complete the full eyelash extension service within the recommended time frame established by the lash and adhesive manufacturers.

Properly utilize tape and other required application materials throughout the service.

The practical examination is graded on a Pass/Fail basis.

Failure to demonstrate any of the required practical skills listed above will result in a failing score.

Written Examination

The written examination will cover all topics taught throughout the certification program.

Students must earn a minimum score of 80% to pass.

Remediation Policy

If a student fails either the written or practical examination: A $100 fee is required to complete additional hours and retake exam.

The student must complete 10 additional hours of education before retaking the failed portion(s) of the certification examination.

Remediation training will focus specifically on the areas in which the student did not demonstrate competency.
